After 45 years in service, ICE’s original product line-up of 416L – 815C and 1412C are still in production and well-known, well-liked, and well-recognized by users and developers all over the world.

The three classic ICE models have undergone continuous improvements over the decades, using new generation parts and materials as they came available, increasing their reliability and performance. The latest engineering improvements of the 815C have been so significant that we have chosen to highlight this new generation with a new model name: 815D.

The 815D was first shown at Bauma Germany in 2019 and has since undergone extensive field testing in Europe. Shanghai ICE now has its first unit in the rental fleet for you to try!

What has stayed the same: the gearcase and the bottom plate remain the same, this means the hammer still fits between the narrowest No. 2, 3 and 4 piles and ensures clamps and beams are interchangeable with older model hammers.

What has been enhanced: the hammers dynamic weight has decreased by 850kg resulting in a higher amplitude. Transport weight is reduced by almost 1 ton. The lubrication of the bearings was redesigned, oil lines are now integrated in the wall of the gearcase. This limits the number of vulnerable hoses on the outside of the vibratory hammer and reduces the risk of machine downtime. Because of the extraordinary long lifetime of this equipment, we have also made it easier to service the hammer, with better access to parts that may need servicing.

Appearance: yes, even design tastes for vibratory hammers change over the decades, the new design looks fresher and more modern and will ensure you’ll be the one with a head-turning hammer on site!

Power: the 815D wouldn’t be worth more than its weight in scrap metal without the ICE 600 Power Pack which is fitted and programmed to get the most out of the vibro! The power pack’s 403kW engine and variable hydraulic pump ensure the driving frequency can be upheld even during hard driving conditions. The power pack is fitted with an idle timer system that eliminates idling time, thereby reducing diesel consumption, and extending maintenance interval times!
