ICE is supporting the launch of the Resonance Free vibro product line in China with the introduction of the portable Vibra-series Vibration Monitoring systems. With a Profound VIBRA you can easily monitor vibrations, which may cause damage to buildings and sensitive equipment. The system is robust, lightweight, portable and battery-operated. At the same time, the system provides a fully continuous and automatic registration of the vibration peak values up to a month.
The Vibra-series systems are a great tool for proving the ICE hammer is working within specification and without effecting adjacent structures. It gives ICE users the confidence to work in sensitive urban areas or along power cables and utility pipelines and provides data according to international standards, such as the SBR2002, the DIN 4150 and the DIN 45669 to prove to stakeholders that operation is safe.
The Vibra is a high resolution measuring device and distinguishes between low frequency peaks of passing trucks and crawler crane movement and those coming from high frequency vibratory hammers.
Setting up the system on site is easy: attach the 3-dimensional sensor to the structure to be monitored, switch on the system and start measuring. During measurement the VIBRA displays the current vibration values of the 3 directions including frequency, the maxima, besides date, time, remaining battery capacity, available memory. The Vibra is affixed directly to a structure with a special holder, or bolted to a weight plate to measure directly on the soil.
The VIBRA can be left unattended to operate continuously for weeks. Once monitoring has been completed the VIBRA is connected via USB to a (portable) Windows computer for full analysis. Full Windows PC software is included. ICE offers the system for sale or rental and can also support clients in demonstrating the technology to other stakeholders around the jobsite or to officers of regulatory departments.
